What is sovereign AI?
Sovereign AI is AI you can govern, hosted, operated, and audited inside your jurisdiction.
Sovereign AI refers to AI systems deployed and operated so that a nation, or an organisation bound by that nation’s laws, retains control over data, models, and inference. For Kenya, that usually means open-weight models running on infrastructure physically located in Kenya.
It is the opposite of sending prompts and documents to a foreign SaaS chatbot by default. Corvux builds sovereign stacks for enterprises that cannot accept that tradeoff. See also data residency and KDPA.
